Apple Picking at Larriland Farms
As much as I love warm weather, I look forward to fall every year. Apple picking is my cherished yearly tradition signaling autumn leaves, cool weather, cider, winter squash, and holidays with family.

Great shots!
Thank you!
I look forward to fall every year too. So glad it’s finally here.
Your photos are wonderful! You’ve put me in the mood to shop the farmer’s markets and pick some apples too! I love that it’s a tradition for you…I need to copy that one :)
Just wanted to say, too, that your blog is beautiful!
Thank you so much! I recommend apple picking as a yearly tradition, it’s something I look forward to every year.
I love apple picking! It is just not the same in Indiana as it was growing up in Michigan, where upick farms of all sorts are always just around the corner. I’m pining to make the hour drive to the nearest one to us where we live now. But, if not, a couple big boxes of seconds from the local non-upick orchard nearby will have to do!
It’s just about time for our annual trip to Elijay, GA to get apples. It’s a beautiful drive there and back. Since moving to Georgia, our favourite apple has become the Rome Beauty. Great made into apple sauce and it dehydrates beautifully.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and taking time to leave a comment.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried that! I’ve never seen it at the farm or in the store. What a great name.
Beautiful pictures!
Fall has become my favorite season over the past few years. I used to really enjoy the summer, and I still do love the warm weather. But, when you have kids, the fall has so much to offer, and for us, the anticipation of Christmas is exhilarating! We have not taken the kids apple picking (last year I was 9 months pregnant, so I wasn’t too interested in doing a four hour round trip car ride), but this year I think it’s a must-do. Thanks for your gorgeous photos!!
I love Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can’t wait to put up decorations.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I read a few of your posts about your own time at culinary school – it made me nervous and excited. :) I was actually just talking about going apple picking last night. I also go nearly every year, and I can’t wait for this year’s trip!
I love reading about the experiences of other culinary school students. Good luck!
I absolutely love your photos. I haven’t been apple picking in such a long time. Great post
This farm is wonderful! We go almost every year at least once. Also, your photography is beautiful, I wish I could take some lessons from you.
It’s the perfect way to welcome fall! I want to go back even though I’ve barely made a dent in my apples.
We have a great apple picking farm less than an hour from our house…yet, between soccer, birthday parties, cub scouts and church it seems that every weekend is so full!? Must. Make. Time. Thanks for the reminder :)
Beautiful… :)
